Kaimoo partners with local NGO hosting Women’s Day Festival

Kaimoo Resorts and Hotels partnered with local NGO Benefit MV, which hosted the “Ruhgandu Festival,” held on the occasion of International Women’s Day. The festival was held on 10-11 March at Hulhumale.

The festival featured local businesses and NGOs advocating for women’s empowerment. Additionally, there were special games for children, live music and several mini-festivals focused on arts & crafts, plants, and baking.

Benefit MV launched their “childcare for tomorrow” campaign at the two day festival. The campaign seeks to promote gender equity in the workplace by eliminating barriers to adequate child care services. In addition to promoting women’s empowerment, the organization also engages in welfare services and environmental conservation.

Speaking on the importance of supporting small local NGOs, Kaimoo Managing Director Manih Mohamed said; “At Kaimoo, we believe that it is our responsibility to support such initiatives seeking to empower marginalized groups in our society. We are proud to have played a part in this important festival and pledge our continued support to such innovative local organizations.”
